Our Story
Marewise was founded in 1987 under the name Errge. In 2014 the company was taken over by Captain Johan Gahnström. The company has since refocused on the maritime industry and changed the name to Marewise.
Marewise is embarking on an exciting journey
We are currently working on a system for navigation assessment. The system will contain a front end with an app to be used onboard the ship when doing navigation assessments. There will be a back end system for followup of assessments, a benchmarking tool to fulfil OCIMA TMSA 3 recommendations. It will also work according to the OCIMF A Guide to Best Practice for Navigational Assessments and Audits.
The system will further be aligned with and able to assess behaviour as laid out in the joint publication done by INTERTANKO and OCIMF, namely Behavioural Competency Assessment and Verification for Vessel Operators.
It will follow the basis from IMO model course 1.30 for onboard assessment
